Who is this for?
The Lake Louise 45-60 minute session is perfect for Surprise Proposals, Engagements, Families, Maternity + more. It's the right amount of time to capture you and fully cover the iconic Lake Louise in all her beauty from all angles without taking up too much of your precious time in the Rockies. Images are delivered via a stunning, easy to use and professional online gallery. Images are easily downloadable in either web size, perfect for sharing online and don't take up too much space on your device or all images are available in full resolution file sizes, perfect for large scale printing.
Surprise Proposals
In this session I can help you plan it, set it up and then capture your partners candid reactions to the BIG question and still have plenty of time for a mini engagement session afterwards that covers all of Lake Louise's and your best angles! We can jump on a call (no additional fee) to plan it, layout how the big moment will go down i.e "The Setup", give recommendations on what to wear. During the session I'll guide you on poses, and give you intentional prompts for those perfect candid moments, ensuring you and your partner have memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Engagements
45 minutes is plenty of time for a full engagement session at Lake Louise! We can get to all the best spots, with a variety of poses and candid moments at each location leaving you with a well rounded gallery of you and your partner in the lead up to one of the biggest days in your lives! I'll guide you on poses, show off the ring, and leave plenty of room for you to just be you to capture those candid moments. What better way to announce your engagement to you and yours!
Families
Get some polished memories of your family in one of the most iconic places on Earth! Family is what's most important and what better way to remember them than with a fun family photo session at Lake Louise to spark memories from the trip of a lifetime for many! We will get the big group shots at each location with the whole family, smaller groups like Mom with kids then Dad with kids, Grandparents with kids, just kids, solos, just Mom & Dad and any other combinations you can think of I can capture!
Maternity
Taking that all important Babymoon in the Canadian Rockies? Show off that "bump" in one of the most magical places, Lake Louise! Bow Lake – A classic roadside alpine lake with punchy reflective water and dramatic peaks right at the shoreline, perfect for wide environmental portraits and easy-access sunrise/sunset sessions.
Peyto Lake – An elevated wolf-shaped lake overlook where you shoot down onto electric-blue glacial water framed by big mountain layers, ideal for epic, sweeping portraits and adventure vibes.
Emerald Lake - A vividly colored lake ringed by dense forest and dramatic peaks, with easy lakeside access, docks, trails, and the lodge buildings providing a mix of natural and architectural backdrops that work in every season and light.
Town of Banff or Lake Minnewanka or Two Jack Lake or Vermillion Lakes - $650 CAD + Tax
Town of Banff – A charming alpine town with Banff Avenue’s straight-on Cascade Mountain view, plus nearby lookouts like Surprise Corner and Sulphur Mountain for urban–meets–mountain backdrops in one shoot.
Lake Minnewanka – A large, rugged lake close to Banff with rocky shores, open meadows, and forest pockets, giving tons of variety in a single session without a big hike.
Two Jack Lake – A calm emerald lake with direct views of Mount Rundle and frequent mirror reflections, ideal for clean, minimalist compositions at sunrise or sunset and easy drive-up access.
Vermillion Lakes – A series of shallow lakes just outside Banff where Mount Rundle reflects in glassy water, especially at sunrise and sunset, perfect for dramatic skies and accessible dock-side portraits.

Event Photography in Lake Louise, Banff & Canmore
Based in Lake Louise, Alberta, documenting celebrations and professional events across Lake Louise, Banff, and Canmore. My style is flattering but true to life—natural colour, clean compositions, and images that feel like the day actually felt. You receive your images via online gallery within 3 days. I work solo with two professional cameras and on‑camera flash when required, so I can move easily from bright outdoor settings to dim indoor venues. I also remove overly intrusive distractions in the final edit, keeping the focus on you, your guests, and the atmosphere you worked hard to create.

Do you shoot in all weather?
Yes! Unfortunately you never know what you're going to get in the mountains so being flexible and going with the flow is key. If the weather is just plain old nasty we can look at rescheduling.
What should we wear?
Neutral earthy tones are best for all year round. In Summer try to avoid turquoise. In Winter avoid white or very light colors. Why? You'll blend into the background!
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Depending on my commitments or you feel we haven't captured what you're looking for, sure! Additional fees may apply
What kind of gear do you use?
My camera is a Sony A7R v mirrorless camera with 61 megapixels. I use a 2nd generation GM Sony 24-70mm lens with a constant f2.8 aperture (what gives those creamy blurred background). I do not use any additional lighting, tripods or bounce boards just the natural light!
Do I have to order prints through you?
No, but it's an option! All images are delivered via online gallery and available for you to download or print, forever! You can also take the JPEG files to your preferred printer.
Will I receive all the RAW images?
Only the edited selection of JPEG images are delivered and are limited to personal use (prints, wall art, sharing on personal social media). Images cannot be used for commercial use without written permission.
Are the images edited?
Yes, all images delivered are edited for a natural, timeless aesthetic. Background distractions are removed where possible.
What should we do to prepare?
Just bring an open mind and get ready to have fun! If there are specific poses you would like please feel free to share an image board in advance.
